About The System

The City of Taylor Police & Fire Retirement System, established pursuant to and in accordance with the Fire Fighters and Police Officers Retirement Act (Michigan Public Act 345 of 1937, as amended) and applicable collective bargaining agreements, is for the purpose of providing retirement benefits to eligible police officers and fire fighters of the City of Taylor and survivor benefits to their eligible beneficiaries.

The Board of Trustees consists of five (5) members: one (1) police officer and (1) firefighter elected by the members of the Police and Fire Departments; two (2) members representing the City, and the City Treasurer.
